UPR Report on Republic of Kiribati
In November 2009 FI submitted a joint UPR report to the UN on the human rights situation of Republic of Kiribati for consideration by the Universal Periodic Review Working Group at its 8th session in May 2010. The report highlights key concerns related to the right of the child to education and the numerous challenges faced by Kiribati’s education system.

UPR Report on Italy
In September 2009 FI submitted a joint UPR report to the UN on the human rights situation of Italy for consideration by the Universal Periodic Review Working Group at its 7th session in February 2010. The report highlights key concerns related to: a) The treatment of migrants; b) Abuse of detainees; c) Delays in relation to implementation of justice; d) Environmental concerns; e) In vitro Fertilisation.

In August 2009 FI submitted a joint UPR report to the UN on the human rights situation of Madagascar for consideration by the Universal Periodic Review Working Group at its 7th session in February 2010. The report highlights concerns related to: right to housing; right to health; right to food; right to education; and economic and sexual exploitation.

UPR Report on Ivory Coast
In April 2009 FI submitted a joint UPR report to the UN on the human rights situation of Ivory Coast for consideration by the Universal Periodic Review Working Group at its 6th session (30 Nov - 11 Dec 2009). The report raises concerns on: right to education; extreme poverty; right to food; right to work; exploitation of domestic workers; impunity; sustainable development; and freedom of movement.

The report highlights key concerns related to: a) rights for handicapped persons and b) domestic violence.
