On International Women's Day, Franciscans International organised an event to share 'Trafficking Stories, Policy & Best Practices'.

Partipants watched a short awareness-raising film called, "To Whom It May Concern", which shares letters written by religious communities in 17 countries about trafficking in their communities, best practices to eliminate it and government policy.  The film featured Fr. Benedict Ayondi OFM Cap., Sr. Lilianne Alam FMM, Sr. Winifred Doherty RGS, Sr. Mary Jo Toll SND and Fr. Dan Grigassy OFM.

Sr. Helene Hayes RGS, Sr. Mary Soh FMM and Stella Rotaru of the International Organisation on Migration personally shared their expertise on the issue and discussed government corruption, debt bondage, poverty, and the rehabilitation of victims.  Participants were invited to discuss what they had learned and what they could do to eliminate the trafficking of women and girls in their communities.
